Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and evaluate steel structural systems for a variety of high-end construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for steel frameworks, connections, and assemblies.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate steel structures seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Conduct site inspections and supervise the installation, fabrication, and erection of steel components to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and fabrication processes for steel structures.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during the construction phase, providing innovative solutions to optimize structural integrity and cost-efficiency.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation of steel materials.
- Perform structural assessments and recommend maintenance or retrofitting solutions for existing steel structures.
- Ensure all steel structural work adheres to local building codes, safety regulations, and project timelines.
- Prepare progress reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client meetings.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of proven experience in steel structural engineering within the construction or contracting industry.
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or Tekla Structures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of steel design codes and standards (e.g., AISC, Eurocode, Egyptian Codes).
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing structural drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Commitment to upholding safety, quality, and ethical standards in all engineering activities.
