Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

SERVICE & HOSPITALITY

Ø Provide direct service to the VIP family and their guests, ensuring an elegant and comfortable environment.

Ø Act as the first point of contact for guests, helping in a courteous and professional manner.

Ø Communicate special meal requests to the Kitchen employees and chefs.

Ø Monitor and anticipate the needs of the VIP family and guests, addressing requests with discretion and attention to detail.

Ø Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation prior to serving and report any problems.

Ø Set up Dail Retrieve the daily food from the kitchen and display dishes names in the dining area as per the approved standard ensuring the right temperature is maintained.

Ø Serve meals, beverages, and refreshments during formal and informal events, private dinners, and gatherings as per the hospitality standard.

Ø Assist in the preparation and arrangement of banquet settings, ensuring all table settings are pristine and properly aligned.

Ø Coordinate with other staff members (i.e. chefs, palace admin and maintenance) to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.

Ø Ensure all kitchen and service areas are stocked with necessary supplies and in good order.

Ø Follow instructions related to favorite serving style and prepare meals with ingredients/content to family favorite way and taste.

HOUSE-KEEPING & MAINTENANCE

Ø Report any maintenance observation immediately to the Supervisor and Maintenance Engineer.

Ø Log and sign the daily duties at each location on the Daily Cleaning Report.

Ø Clean and organize the dining and event spaces, including all dining room and banquet hall.

Ø Clean and maintain the villa’s silverware, glassware, and other precious items.

Ø Clean and maintain all areas of the villa, including living spaces, guest rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and villas kitchens.

Ø Dust, polish, and maintain fine furnishings, antiques, silverware, and artwork to the approved standards.

Ø Ensure floors, carpets, windows, and upholstery are cleaned and well-maintained, using appropriate methods and products.

Ø Maintain a spotless and hygienic environment in all rooms and hallways, including areas used for formal gatherings and private events.

Ø Clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensuring they are stocked with fresh towels, toiletries, and other necessary items.

Ø Handle laundry services by coordinating with the laundry team ensuring zero loss of garments.

Room Setup and Organization:

Ø Ensure that rooms are prepared in advance for the VIP family, visitors, and guests, with attention to detail and comfort.

Ø Organize and tidy rooms, closets, and storage areas to ensure efficiency and accessibility.

Ø Set up rooms for special occasions, such as arranging flowers, making beds, and ensuring that all items are in place for events or visitors.

Ø Maintain inventory and restock household supplies, including toiletries, linens, cleaning products, and other essential items.

Specialized Care for Valuables:

Ø Ensure the proper care and cleaning of high-value and delicate items, including antiques, artwork, and heirlooms.

Ø Handle silverware, crystal, and other luxury items with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Ø Ensure that all valuables are kept secure, and that villa rooms and spaces are safe from damage or theft.

Ø Immediately report any missing items and provide a detailed report on specific location, timelines and present members at the estimate time, etc.

Security and Confidentiality:

Ø Maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal, familial, and household matters.

Ø Maintain the guest logbook at each location and ensure it is kept on record for Manager/Supervisor review and security check.

Ø Adherent to the villa’s security protocols, ensuring the safety and privacy of the VIP family and their visitors.

Ø Document all guests and visitors and family timing in each premise in the Guests Logbook.

Personal Appearance & Conduct:

Ø Maintain a polished and professional appearance, adhering to the approved dress code and uniform.

Ø Exemplify courtesy, poise, and good communication skills in all interactions with the VIP family, guests, and staff.

Ø Exhibit impeccable manners, attention to detail, and a calm, composed demeanor, even in high-pressure situations.

Working Conditions:

Ø The role requires flexibility in working hours (shift basis as communicated by the Line Manager), as the steward may be asked to work evenings, at weekends, or during holidays for events and special occasions.

Ø Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and may need to lift and carry items (such as trays or serving equipment) in the course of duty.

Ø The steward is required to wear a uniform, as per the guidelines.

Additional Notes:

Ø Stewards are expected to be professional, upholding the VIP family's standards of conduct and etiquette. They will work as part of a dedicated team of household staff to ensure the smooth running of the villa and the satisfaction of the VIP family.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Formal training in hospitality or a related field is an asset but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
