Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Stock Controller, you will play an essential role in maintaining the supply inventory for our company. You will be responsible for ensuring that stock levels are adequate to fulfill customer requirements and efficient handling of new orders and deliveries. With a meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to inventory management, you will manage stock levels, forecast future demands, and minimize excess inventory. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing product movements and trends to help optimize our purchasing and inventory processes. This role not only requires strong analytical skills but also excellent communication abilities to coordinate with different departments and suppliers effectively.
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels and ensure accuracy in inventory records at all times.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage delivery schedules and meet stock requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory performance and stock levels for management review.
- Conduct daily and periodic stock counts to mitigate any discrepancies or shortages.
- Identify and resolve issues related to inventory, including overstocks and shortages.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to place timely orders and replenish stock.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors for efficient stock management.
- Forecast future stock requirements based on sales data and market trends.
- Manage and organize the warehouse area for optimal stock storage and retrieval.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies and report findings to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all inventory processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role in inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance related to inventory handling.
