Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We re seeking a Stock & Cost Controller to join our Finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate inventory management, cost control, and supporting data-driven decisions across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and control inventory accounting, including valuation, write-offs, and adjustments.
  • Implement and monitor landed cost allocation to ensure accurate product costing.
  • Prepare monthly COGS analysis and reconcile with sales and procurement records.
  • Ensure proper stock reconciliation between physical counts, warehouse records, and ERP balances.
  • Develop and maintain costing methodologies (Weighted Average, FIFO) aligned with IFRS.
  • Support procurement, operations, and supply chain with cost analysis for pricing and margin decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory KPIs (turnover, shrinkage, obsolescence).
  • Partner with FP&A for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and implement policies and controls for inventory and cost accounting processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5 7 years of experience in stock control and cost accounting, at least 2 3 years in a senior role.
  • Strong background in retail, distribution, trading, or FMCG industries preferred.
  • Professional certification (CMA, IFRS) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and a strong communicator with problem-solving skills.
