Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive raw materials (steel, sheets, metal sections) and verify their compliance with purchase orders and invoices.
- Organize and store steel and metal materials in designated, safe, and accessible areas.
- Monitor stock levels on a daily basis and record all incoming and outgoing transactions accurately.
- Issue materials to production lines based on approved requisition forms.
- Coordinate with the production department to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Supervise loading and unloading processes, ensuring safety of workers and equipment when handling heavy materials.
- Prepare regular stock reports (opening balance received issued closing balance).
- Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile physical quantities with system records.
- Apply safety and occupational health standards to prevent accidents inside the warehouse.
- Maintain inventory quality and protect materials from damage, rust, or external factors.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree or relevant qualification (Commerce, Logistics, or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse/store management, preferably in heavy industries or steel factories.
- Good knowledge of warehouse management systems (ERP or similar).
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work under pressure and in industrial environments.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures in handling heavy materials.
