Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To manage the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of fast-moving consumer goods while ensuring accurate inventory control and timely availability of stock.

  1. Receive and inspect incoming goods against invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders

  2. Ensure proper storage of products according to company standards (including temperature control where required)

  3. Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or warehouse management systems

  4. Handle stock issuance and dispatch to sales, distribution, or retail channels

  5. Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving items

  6. Implement FIFO/FEFO (First In First Out / First Expiry First Out) stock rotation practices

  7. Conduct regular stock counts and cycle audits to maintain inventory accuracy

  8. Identify and report damaged, expired, or near-expiry goods

  9. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams for smooth operations

  10. Prepare documentation such as GRNs, stock reports, and dispatch records

  11. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the warehouse/store

  12. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field (preferred)

  2. 6–10 years of experience in FMCG warehouse/store operations

  3. Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)

  4. Knowledge of inventory control and stock management techniques

  5. Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting tools)

    Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Good organizational and time management skills

    • Communication and coordination abilities

    • Problem-solving and accountability

      Work Environment:

      • Warehouse or distribution center setting

      • May involve shift work depending on operations

      • Requires handling of cartons, pallets, and frequent stock movement

      • Emphasis on hygiene and product quality (especially for food and personal care items)
