Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory, receiving and issuing materials, organizing storage areas, and ensuring accurate stock records. The role supports efficient warehouse and store operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory reports.
  • Issue materials and supplies as requested by departments.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damaged items.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and stock audits.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the storage area.
  • Label and tag inventory items properly.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.
  • Follow company procedures for inventory control and documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory or warehouse management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of inventory management procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items when required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Forklift operation certification (if applicable).
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
