Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities/strong>
Category Strategy & Ownership/strong>
- Define and drive the mid- to long-term category strategy/strong> for the Horeca channel
- Identify priority segments, channels, and customer groups based on market potential
- Establish clear category positioning, value propositions, and growth roadmaps/strong>
Market Intelligence & Business Insights/strong>
- Lead the development of data-driven insights/strong> on market size, trends, and competitive landscape
- Act as the go-to expert/strong> for Horeca category intelligence within the organization
- Translate insights into strategic recommendations and business opportunities
Portfolio & Brand Leadership/strong>
- Own the category portfolio strategy/strong>, including product mix, gaps, and future needs
- Work closely with product development and marketing teams to shape offerings aligned with market needs
- Lead new product introduction strategy/strong> for Horeca (from concept to market readiness)
Commercial Planning/strong>
- Develop annual and multi-year category plans/strong>, including volume, revenue, and growth targets
- Define pricing logic, margin expectations, and investment priorities
- Build business cases for new opportunities and strategic initiatives
Performance Management/strong>
- Track and analyze category performance across key metrics (sales, share, profitability)
- Continuously refine strategy based on performance and market evolution
- Provide clear direction to the sales team on priorities and focus areas
Cross-Functional Leadership/strong>
- Act as the bridge between strategy and execution/strong>, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain
- Provide the Horeca sales team with clear strategic direction, segmentation, and priorities/strong>
- Support, but do not lead, market activation ensuring consistency with overall strategy
Desired Candidate Profile
What We re Looking For/strong>
- Bachelor s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Brand Management, Category Management, or Strategic Marketing/strong>
- Strong experience in FMCG and/or HoReCa/Foodservice environments/strong>
- Proven ability to build strategies from scratch and translate insights into growth plans/strong>
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority (no direct reports initially)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, evolving environment/strong>
