Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Analyze and determine the structural integrity and safety of various mechanical systems, components, and materials using analytical and computational tools to assess the performance and behavior of the system or component when subjected to different loads and environmental conditions.
  • Conduct stress analysis and finite element analysis of mechanical systems or components.
  • Design and develop structures, products or equipment that comply with industry standards and regulations, while minimizing risk and optimizing performance and reliability.
  • Identify and analyze potential failure modes and recommend design improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams.
  • Communicate results and findings through technical reports, presentations, and other means.
  • Perform design validation on mechanical parts and systems under various load conditions using FEA software.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to identify potential design solutions

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Structural/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2- 5 years of experience in stress analysis of mechanical components, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong background in finite element analysis (FEA) static & dynamic
  • Proven track record of conducting FEA analyses and reporting results using industry standards
  • Recognizing and isolating stress concentrations and finding suitable resolutions
  • Knowledge of simulation software, including ANSYS, NASTRAN, Adams or Abaqus.
  • Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, materials science, and numerical methods.
  • Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Pro/ENGINEER, and FEA tools, such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran and Adams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, and good team player.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with stakeholders in different departments and levels of the organization.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: aerospace, automotive, defense, marine, or oil and gas
