Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed structural BIM models using industry-standard software such as Revit and Navisworks.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate integration of structural elements within multidisciplinary models.
  • Prepare and coordinate structural drawings, schedules, and documentation in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues between structural and other building systems.
  • Implement and maintain BIM standards, templates, and workflows to ensure consistency and quality across all structural models.
  • Support the design team in optimizing structural systems for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and constructability.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and BIM expertise to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs in alignment with project timelines and milestones.
  • Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies and best practices to continually enhance project delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on BIM modeling and coordination.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of structural systems, construction methods, and building codes.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection within BIM environments.
  • Ability to interpret and produce detailed structural drawings and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650, BS 1192).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
