Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of design and shop drawings, provide technical solutions tailored to contractor and consultant needs, support tendering efforts, and coordinate with project teams to address on-site and design challenges, all while ensuring adherence to budgetary and contractual constraints.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify design drawings and calculations for all concrete structural elements utilizing either post-tensioned or conventional technologies.
  • Review and verify shop drawings as well as As-built drawings.
  • Understand Contractor/Consultant requirements to develop tailored engineering solutions that meet expectations.
  • Offer technical guidance to the estimation department during the tendering phase.
  • Coordinate with the project team to address technical and on-site concerns.
  • Engage in technical discussions with consultants, aligning with industry codes and standards.
  • Monitor project quantities to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and contractual obligations.
  • Participate in meetings with the project team to find technical solutions.
  • Address design challenges and evaluate alternative design models to meet project requirements.
  • Establish schedules for the delivery of all required project deliverables and design submissions.
  • Create detailed reports on engineering activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Relevant Knowledge/Experience:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design and analysis software such as RAM Concept, ETABS, and Safe. Previous experience in the design of Concrete Repair and Post Tensioning projects.

Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrates the ability to adjust to changing project demands, client requirements, and on-site challenges while maintaining a high level of performance and delivering effective solutions.
