Structural Designer -Offshore TOPSIDES ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY FZE

Job Responsibilities:

1. Offshore Structural Design
   Prepare detailed 2D/3D structural design drawings for offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, skids, and subsea structures.
   Develop fabrication and installation drawings using AutoCAD, Tekla, PDMS, or E3D software.
   Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and offshore standards (API, DNV, ABS, ISO).
2. Structural Modeling & Drafting
   Create and update structural models, ensuring clash-free integration with piping, electrical, and mechanical systems.
3. Design Coordination
   Coordinate with structural engineers, naval architects, and multidiscipline design teams to ensure accurate and practical designs.
   Support design reviews, 3D model walkthroughs, and interface meetings.
4. Support to Fabrication & Construction
   Provide technical support during yard fabrication and offshore installation.
   Address redlines, modifications, and as-built updates during construction phases.
5. Documentation & Reporting
   Maintain design documentation including drawing logs, revision history, and design reports.
   Prepare design reports and presentations for internal and client approvals.
6. Project & Schedule Management
   Ensure timely submission of deliverables as per project schedule.
   Report progress, risks, and design issues to lead engineers or project managers.
7. Health, Safety & Quality Compliance
   Integrate structural safety elements such as blast walls, escape routes, and emergency supports in design.
