Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed structural drawings including GA drawings, sections, and shop drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD tools.
  • Develop reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules (BBS) as required.
  • Convert structural sketches and design calculations into accurate technical drawings.

Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines to ensure drawing integration and consistency.
  • Modify and update drawings based on feedback and markups from the design team or authorities.
  • Assist in preparing drawings for authority submissions in compliance with local codes and standards (e.g., ADM, DMT, etc.).

Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance

  • Ensure that all drawings adhere to company CAD standards, project specifications, and accuracy requirements.
  • Maintain drawing records, proper version control, and drawing logs.
  • Cross-check dimensions, levels, reinforcement details, and annotations for accuracy and consistency.

Project Support

  • Assist in the preparation of structural tender and construction drawing packages.
  • Support site teams with as-built drawings, clarifications, and revisions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of drawings in line with project schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.br> Minimum 3 years of experience as a Structural Draftsman in a consultancy environment.br>Proficient in:br>

  • AutoCAD (advanced level)
  • Revit / BIM (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office and PDF mark-up tools
Good knowledge of UAE authority standards and requirements. Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively br Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and organizational skills.
