Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
-
Design and validate structural systems for temporary event structures including exhibition stands, stages, platforms, trusses, rigging, and pavilions.
-
Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports for approvals and third-party certification.
-
Review architectural and shop drawings to ensure structural feasibility and compliance.
-
Ensure compliance with local and international codes (Eurocodes, British Standards, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense).
-
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and fabricators to optimize structural solutions and materials.
-
Provide technical support during concept and tender stages.
-
Coordinate with external consultants and certifying engineers for approvals and load checks.
-
Conduct site inspections during build-up and dismantling to ensure safe installation.
-
Bachelor s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
-
3 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in events, exhibitions, temporary structures, or modular construction.
-
Experience in the UAE or GCC is preferred.
-
Strong knowledge of temporary works and event structures.
-
Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, or similar).
-
Working knowledge of AutoCAD ,Revit or Rhino.
-
Good understanding of steel and aluminum structures.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work under tight deadlines and changing site conditions.
-
Clear communication and coordination skills.
-
Willingness to attend site works, including nights or weekends, as required by event schedules.
- You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools, transport, and all equipment issued/used by the company.
- You will correctly use personal protective equipment, as necessary to perform your role.
- You will not remove any safety devices for any machinery or installations.
- You will perform all tasks set forth by safety regulations and cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and conditions that do not pose any risks in terms of health and safety.
- Reduce and monitor resource consumption as contribution to reducing environmental aspects and impacts.
