Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview: The Structural Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, and supervision of structural systems to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards. The role involves coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality construction projects in line with Palace Group’s standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Design & Analysis

  • Perform structural analysis and design of buildings, villas, and infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare detailed structural calculations, reports, and design drawings.

  • Ensure designs comply with international codes and UAE regulations (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocodes).

  • Review and approve structural shop drawings and material submittals.

    Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and site teams to ensure proper implementation of structural designs.

  • Attend technical meetings and provide structural solutions to site challenges.

  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and authorities as required

    Site Supervision & Support

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.

  • Provide technical guidance to site engineers and construction teams

  • Identify and resolve structural issues during construction

    Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure all structural works meet quality standards and project specification

  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Review method statements and risk assessments related to structural activities.

    Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain design documentation, reports, and project records.

  • Provide progress updates and technical reports to the management

  • Assists in project planning, scheduling and cost control related to structural works.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

  • Master’s degree is an advantage

  • A minimum of 5 -10 years of experience in structural design and site execution

  • Experience in high rise building, villa, and fit-out projects in the UAE is preferred.

  • Experience working with reputable construction or engineering firms

  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g. ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro)

  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit

  • Familiarity with UAE building codes and international standards

  • Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications
