Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Structural / Fabrication Welder with proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and welding of structural steel components. The ideal candidate should be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, perform accurate welding operations, and ensure high-quality workmanship in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural and fabrication welding using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques.
- Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, frames, and components according to project specifications.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Prepare materials, set up welding machines, and maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete fabrication tasks on time.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience in structural or fabrication welding (preferably in construction, steel fabrication, or industrial projects).
- Must hold a valid welding certification (e.g., 3G/6G, SMAW, GTAW, or equivalent).
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of metal properties, tools, and fabrication methods.
- Familiar with welding safety standards and quality inspection requirements.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in heavy steel structures, tanks, or industrial fabrication.
- Knowledge of cutting, grinding, and finishing techniques.
- Multi-process welding skills (MIG/TIG/Stick).
