Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized counseling sessions to students, addressing academic, personal, and social challenges through active listening and tailored guidance.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify students' specific needs and develop personalized support plans to facilitate their overall well-being and success.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to address student concerns, ensuring a coordinated approach to student support and promoting a holistic approach.
  • Maintain confidential student records and documentation, adhering to ethical guidelines and privacy regulations while ensuring data integrity.
  • Facilitate workshops and group sessions on topics such as stress management, time management, and study skills, fostering a supportive learning environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree in clinical psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of counselling experience, preferably in a university or youth-oriented setting.
  • Certification or licensure to practice counselling/psychology in the UAE (or eligibility to obtain one) is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in individual counselling, group therapy, and mental health education.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and crisis management skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus
