Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of subsea systems, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of subsea equipment, coordinating with contractors and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Conduct detailed assessments of subsea infrastructure, identifying potential risks and recommending proactive maintenance strategies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, procedures, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide technical support during offshore operations, troubleshooting issues and offering solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, and other engineers, to achieve project goals.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and technologies, integrating innovative solutions to improve subsea operations.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional development and promoting knowledge sharing.
- Participate in HAZID and HAZOP studies, contributing to the identification and mitigation of potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.

- Conduct detailed engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs, focusing on structural integrity and hydrodynamic performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with subsea operations, proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing preventative measures.
- Provide technical support to project teams, addressing engineering challenges and offering solutions to ensure project success.
- Evaluate and select subsea equipment and materials, considering factors such as reliability, durability, and compatibility with the operating environment.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in subsea technology, continuously seeking opportunities to improve design and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, geologists, and marine engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Participate in HAZID/HAZOP studies, contributing to the identification and mitigation of potential risks within subsea projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proficient in using industry-standard software for subsea design and analysis, such as OrcaFlex or ANSYS; technical expertise is vital.
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Displays strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Exhibits a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility, adhering to industry best practices.
- Is fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is a plus, facilitating global project collaboration.
