Roles & Responsibilities

Role : Subsea Inspector – FOC, Flying Leads, Bottom Flanges & SSIV Valve (ITP Scope)

Location: Milan, Italy (Onsite) — Candidates can apply from anywhere

Key Responsibilities

ITP Compliance & Quality Surveillance Implement project-specific ITPs for FOC, flying leads, flanges, and SSIVs. Conduct hold-point, witness-point, and routine surveillance inspections. Verify vendor compliance with approved procedures and specifications. FOC (Fiber Optic Cable) Inspection Inspect fiber continuity, attenuation, and OTDR test results. Verify armoring, sheathing, bend radius, and termination integrity. Witness splicing, sealing, pressure testing, and FAT activities. Flying Leads Inspection (Electrical & Hydraulic) Inspect fabrication and assembly of EFL/HFL components. Verify connectors, insulation resistance, continuity, tube cleanliness, and hydrostatic tests. Review FAT documentation for both electrical and hydraulic performance. Bottom Flanges & Connector Inspection Inspect fabrication, machining, and assembly of subsea flanges, hubs, and connectors. Review dimensional checks, NDT results (VT, PT, UT, MT), coating, and corrosion protection. Confirm pressure rating, material traceability, and sealing profile accuracy. SSIV Valve Inspection Verify SSIV compliance with API 6A / API 17D requirements. Inspect valve body, actuator, seals, and control tubing. Witness FAT operations: valve cycling, leakage tests, HP/LP tests, and ESD logic verification. Documentation & Reporting Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, punch lists, and close-out summaries. Validate QA records, certificates, and complete MDR documentation. Ensure material traceability and maintain accurate inspection records. Offshore Readiness Verification Verify equipment preservation, tagging, lifting points, and sea-fastening arrangements. Review ROV interface compatibility and operational fit-up. Confirm equipment readiness for mobilization and offshore installation. Interface & Coordination Coordinate with subsea engineering, QA/QC teams, vendors, and fabrication yards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical Competence Requirements

Sound knowledge of subsea hardware: FOC, flying leads, SSIVs, connectors, hubs.

Strong skills in fiber optic testing (OTDR), electrical testing, hydraulic pressure testing.

Familiarity with NDT techniques (VT, PT, MT, UT).

Understanding of standards: API 17E/17F/17D, API 6A, DNV, ISO 13628.

Experience with SCM interfaces and subsea control systems.

Qualifications & Experience Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Quality Engineering. 5–15 years of experience in subsea/offshore inspection (FOC, flying leads, SSIV, subsea hardware).
