Role & responsibilities

• Preparation of overall SLD and PSLD of 132/220/400/765kV system of Substation.
• Preparation of General Arrangement drawings or OEL (Over all electrical Equipment Drawing) & List of apparatus as per the Specification.
• Indoor and Outdoor Equipment layout plans and Sectional views.
• Equipment foundation layout.
• Earthing mat sizing calculation and layout with BOM details.
• DSLP calculation for indoor and outdoor with layout and BOM.
• Battery bank, Charger and UPS sizing calculations.
• Busbar sizing calculations and drawings.
• All types of power EHT, MV and LT cable and Tray sizing calculation.
• CT/VT Sizing Calculation.
• Short circuit force calculation and stringing chart as per IEC standard,
• Cable schedule and termination schedule with BOM of Glands and lugs.
• Indoor, Outdoor and Road Lighting calculation and circuit diagram & layout.
• HV equipment connection and interconnection details, prepare (EKD) erection Key diagram.
• Conduct equipment sizing and selection (circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, surge arresters, DG set, Auxiliary Transformer, NGR, etc.)
• Prepare clearance diagram (electrical & mechanical) as per IS/IEC/IEEE standards.
• Support the preparation of bill of quantities (BOQ) and material as per specifications.
• Ensure designs are compatible with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, CBIP, etc.)
• Coordinate with secondary protection design, civil, Structural, Architecture, BIM, Mechanical, Fire protection, Firefighting, CCTV surveillance and protection teams for interface clarity.
• All types of substation equipments data sheets or GTP, GA drawing and documents review or vetting.
• Selection of Relays & Auxiliary components as per the client specification requirements.
• Knowledge about Substation Control and Monitoring System (SCMS) & SCADA Integration at LDC/ NCC and ECC, Telecommunications Equipment PLCC & FOTE Systems, Protective Security System.
• Knowledge about Fire protection, Firefighting, CCTV surveillance
• Knowledge about system study such as Load Flow (Power Flow) Study, Short Circuit Study, Protection Coordination Study, Stability Study, Insulation Coordination Study, Harmonic Analysis (if applicable), Reactive Power Compensation and Voltage Control Study, Arc Flash Study (if applicable), Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) Study (in some cases), Reliability Study.
• KNOWLEDGE OF DESIGN CODES: IEC, IEE, IS, CEA & CBIP etc.
• Technical Tool: 1. Auto CAD 2. ETAP, 3. DIA Lux, 4. CDEGS/SIMGRID/ Auto grid Pro.
