Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Participate in development of the pre-commissioning and commissioning plans and procedures for Substations electrical systems.
  • Test and commission according to the test plan and test procedures, record the test results, analyze the test results, analyze the test log, summarize this on the test report, descript any test problems, communicate with the system engineer and close the list of outstanding issues and log.
  • Witness FAT for the electrical Equipment, Identify and report any defects or variations from the specification.
  • Responsible to ensure Test equipment, Special tools, and consumable availability during execution in accordance with scope requirements.
  • Conduct the site acceptance test (SAT) for the electrical equipment/ system as per approved testing plan and procedures.
  • Provide the required and relevant inputs to engineering for starting up.
  • Record and perform the necessary calibration for the measuring/ testing devices.
  • Identifying and resolving electrical issues that may arise during the commissioning process.

Desired Candidate Profile

Substations Experience is a must.

  • Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
  • 4-8 years experience in Testing & commissioning electrical equipment for substations.
  • A strong understanding of electrical theories, codes & standards of electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
