Substitute Teacher International Schools Group

The position is primarily responsible for managing and delivering lessons according to the lesson plans developed by the regular teachers, in the absence of the regular teachers.

Position Duties

• Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people ( child protection ).
• Deliver lessons to students as outlined in lesson plans developed by regular teachers.
• Motivate students to learn and participate in the classroom during lessons.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Attend staff meetings if required.
• Supervise students outside classrooms if required.
• Coordinate with BSD Leaders for BSD classroom expectations.
• Coordinate with BSD Principal for BSD emergency protocol.
• Maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Assistant Principals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of Bachelor s degree

Experience

• Experience as a teacher (preferred).

• Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
• Highly developed classroom management skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Maturity to handle a range of situations.
• Loyalty and a high level of confidentiality.
