Superintendent, Project Execution Ma'aden Aluminium Company (MAC)

Job Purpose/strong>

Manage the projects section team in initiation, execution, and monitoring and control of Capital Projects. Along with the development and execution of the capital budget and special projects at the plant site in line with the vision, mission, and business objectives of the company.

Key Accountabilities

Contribute to the development of the technical strategy through the development of the Projects strategy in line with the vision, mission, and business objectives of the company.

strong>Policies, Processes Systems & Procedures/strong>

Develop and ensure the implementation of functional policies, processes, systems, procedures, engineering standards and controls covering all areas of Projects activity at the plant site so that all relevant procedural legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering the appropriate quality, and targeted production from the plants in a cost-effective manner

strong>Leadership/strong>

Manage the effective achievement of Projects functional objectives through the leadership of the department and individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and plant performance

strong>Budgets and Plans /strong>

Set specific functional goals for the Departmental Plan and site objectives.

Develop the annual operational and capital expenses financial budget and guide the department in accomplishing those budgets.

strong>Capital Technical Projects /strong>

Provide overarching direction to the completion of various Capital Projects to install facilities or equipment at the plant site within project parameters e.g. Cost, timelines, quality, and functionality.

Direct the identification of possible synergies with other projects which would enhance the project value.

strong>Technical Advice and Support/strong>

Provide advice and technical support to the project team to accomplish the Business Plan and company goals.

strong>Health, Safety and Environment/strong>

Ensure implementation of EHSS Management System (MSHEM) with Projects Department staff and all execution projects.

strong>MIS and Reports/strong>

Direct the preparation of periodical management reporting and progress reports to keep top management informed about the progress of various initiatives, projects, overall business technical performance and to facilitate decision making.
