Roles & Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintenance Activities Supervision

  • Supervise the Electrical Maintenance team, ensuring all activities are performed safely and on time, supporting Borouge's operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring compliance with Borouge's guidelines and local laws.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, ensuring timely and effective maintenance, minimizing downtime.
  • Lead the team in executing predictive, preventive, proactive, and corrective maintenance, maintaining equipment reliability.
  • Administrate team activities, ensuring adherence to Borouge's HSE policies and procedures.
  • Monitor work execution, ensuring quality and timely completion, supporting Borouge's business goals.

Maintenance & Inspection

  • Conduct troubleshooting on LV/HV electrical equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and repair, enhancing system reliability.
  • Supervise installation, repair, and maintenance jobs, ensuring compliance with Borouge's standards.
  • Inspect completed jobs for conformity to statutory and company standards, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Regularly inspect workshops and workplaces, maintaining good housekeeping and organization.
  • Review tools and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage, supporting maintenance activities.
  • Ensure team members have proper PPEs and adhere to HSE rules, promoting a safe working environment.

Planning & Coordination

  • Discuss daily maintenance and start-up schedules with planners and operation teams, optimizing resource use.
  • Ensure execution of scheduled maintenance activities, maintaining proper operating conditions of Borouge's assets.
  • Coordinate technical support for shift personnel, addressing job requirements effectively.
  • Provide day-to-day instructions for safe job execution, ensuring compliance with Borouge's safety standards.
  • Supervise maintenance jobs, minimizing failures and ensuring equipment reliability and availability.
  • Perform inspections and approve functional tests, ensuring equipment meets operational standards.

HSE Compliance

  • Participate in safety audits and area walk-downs, ensuring compliance with Borouge's HSE policies.
  • Conduct task risk assessments, maintaining safety at work locations to ensure work orders are properly confirmed and failure codes are recorded in SAP, supporting maintenance tracking.
  • Maintain records of work performed and progress, supporting compliance and reporting.
  • Perform time entry approval for technicians, ensuring accurate tracking of work hours.
  • Keep abreast and knowledgeable on the updates for Health, Safety, Environment, Crisis Management, and Risk Registers for all the performed processes, projects, and activities within the operating zone.
  • Supervise the acts by the team to ensure compliance with HSE-related procedures, practices, and norms in the workspace. Ensure compliance with Borouge's electrical safety procedures and HSE requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Attend interface meetings with project teams and custodian departments, resolving issues and promoting good working relations.
  • Coordinate with different departments, ensuring timely completion of maintenance jobs.
  • Maintain equipment files and records, supporting maintenance history and compliance.
  • Ensure LV/HV electrical equipment can be operated safely and in compliance with local laws and Borouge's guidelines.
  • Ensure proper management of waste and adherence to environmental regulations, supporting Borouge's sustainability goals.

Resource Management

  • Review and approve procurement of required spare parts, ensuring availability and quality. Ensure unused materials are returned to the warehouse within defined time, supporting inventory management.
  • Receive and physically inspect delivered spare parts, ensuring they meet specifications.
  • Complete detailed technical feedback in SAP, supporting future failure analysis.
  • Verify execution of PM plans for equipment maintenance and preservation, ensuring adherence to procedures.
  • Coordinate annual leave plans for team members, ensuring even workforce distribution and minimum availability.

Training & Development

  • Determine training needs for team members, ensuring adequate on-the-job training for skill development.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of contractor technicians, following up on their performance.
  • Initiate failure reports and support root cause failure analysis, improving maintenance practices.
  • Raise material reservations and assist in the receipt of materials, ensuring quality and availability.
  • Segregate repairable and non-repairable items, supporting efficient maintenance operations.
  • Participate in the development and review of work instructions and checklists, ensuring effective maintenance execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in installation, repair, testing and maintenance of a wide range equipment items of production facilities in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.

Previous supervisory experience leading maintenance teams in large-scale industrial environments.

Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems (up to 132kV), transformers, switchgears, and motor control centers (MCC).

Maintenance and troubleshooting experience on LV/HV Electrical and system Equipment in Oil & Gas industries.

Hands on SAP basic work management operations related to Electrical maintenance.

Hands on the documentation and reporting procedures for abnormal conditions.

IPCS and SCMS operating knowledge Electrical Engineering Diagrams & Drawings LV/HV Electrical equipment and system Installation, Repair & Hi-Pot Testing Knowledge of computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)

Working knowledge on Operation & Maintenance manuals and engineering documents/drawings. to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and to determine optimum equipment functioning.

Ability to lead and communicate to a team of multi-cultural, multi-national personnels.

Preferred to be certified in one or more of the following, or relevant certifications:

  • Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP).
  • High Voltage Switching and Maintenance Certification.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Certification.
