Supervisor, Fire (C) National Industrialization Company (TASNEE)

Advanced Smelting Industries Co. (ASIC) is a joint venture equally owned by Tasnee. The smelter is located in the Primary and Downstream Industries Zone of Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries (JCPDI), and is designed to smelt ilmenite, a titanium-rich mineral sand, into titanium dioxide slag and pig iron. The plant consists of two electric arc furnaces, each with an annual capacity of 250,000 Tonnes of slag and 125,000 Tonnes of pig iron. The slag is tapped from the furnace and further processed to serve as feedstock for the titanium chlorination and sulphonic used in the production of titanium pigment, which is primarily utilized in paints and plastics.

About the role:

The work of Fire Supervisor. The work requires knowledge of the plants fire safety laws, emergency response, rules, and regulations, and supervisory techniques, fire system, and procedures.

You will be responsible for:

• Supervisor with good experience of Supervision at a departmental level.
• Responsible and accountable to Superintendent Fire for the effective and efficient delivery of all Prepare functions.
• Prepare representative on SHE Fire and Rescue Service.
• Review and distribute the workload to the ERT team periodically.
• Take responsibility for the daily workload and direction of the ERT team.
• Supervise the ERT team regarding team planning, training, workload, developmental needs, and ensuring alignment with HCIS and ASIC policies and procedures.
• Support Fire Superintendent to ASIC at local risk, contingency, and operational policy programs.
• Support Fire Superintendent to developing performance indicators to assist in the monitoring and management of the ERT performance.

Minimum Qualification:

• Relevant Diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• Certificate from National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
• Certifications in HSE-related areas (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) are preferred.

Minimum Experience:

• 7 years of experience or more in related field.
• Supervisory position in a fire and rescue service, or similar organization.

Required Skills:

• The use of base radio equipment.
• Fire communications system and equipment.
• Emergency medical procedures.
• Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others.
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions in the English language.
• Communicate orally with co-worker and the public in the English language in face-to-face one-on-one settings or using a telephone.
• Remain calm and effective under heavy workloads and in emergency situations.
• Obtain and act on information quickly and accurately in emergency situations.
