Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Operational Excellence:
- Act as a connector between CMOs, Regions, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the process of selecting and negotiating contracts with CMOs in close collaboration with various teams.
- Meet with CMOs to review business KPIs, provide performance feedback, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
- Design and execute MSR and MBR meetings with suppliers, based on frequencies outlined in the segmentation assessment, to align with the Global S&OP process.
- Analyze inventories to improve OTIF, inventory turns, waste/write-off reduction, and optimization of KPIs/CSL.
- Design and implement supply chain models for CMOs that support business strategies and adapt to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Coordinate engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure smooth and timely production transitions at CMOs.
- Oversee order fulfillment tasks for products manufactured at external suppliers within the scope of SRT.
- Establish and maintain an optimal supply plan, balancing customer service levels, supplier capabilities, inventory, and operational costs in line with budget.
- Support the responsible team and act as escalation point for timely order fulfillment, including organizing and managing shipments in collaboration with freight forwarders through the Estonia operational centre.
- Align with the Estonia team on operational processes related to CMOs.
- Develop and manage relationships with external suppliers and customers for all supply-related matters, including demand/supply planning, analysis, order management, and stock management for free-of-charge customer-supplied components.
- Orchestrate collaboration across various functions with the ESO team (Operational Center, ESO QA, Global Planning, Transportation, etc.).
3. Crisis and risk leadership:
- Provide crisis and risk leadership by identifying, assessing, and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Lead response planning and execution during supply disruptions, quality issues, or regulatory changes.
- Ensure business continuity through proactive risk management strategies.
- Serve as the primary escalation point during crisis situations impacting CMO operations.
4. Talent & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the SRM team to enhance skills, performance, and engagement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives for team members.
- Support succession planning and career development initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

Desired Candidate Profile
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Supervise the performance of CMOs.
- Build strong relationships with CMOs to manage business dynamics and act as first contact on strategic questions.
- Conduct integrated discussions with regional teams to manage business strategy and priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with CMOs to support Arcera s accelerated growth.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes, focusing on supplier strategy and maintaining/building relationships to support the long-term vision.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of other languages is a plus (German, French, Arabic, Turkish).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical operations principles and supply chain practices.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of CMO management.
- Planning experience in an industrial operations environment.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Knowledge of contracting and legal topics.
- Deep understanding of COGS and pricing management.
- Willingness to travel (20%+).
