Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
- The Supply Chain Manager will lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for the companys Oil Field Services operations across the Egypt. The role focuses on building a resilient, technology-driven supply chain that leverages AI, predictive analytics, and digital platforms to enhance operational efficiency, improve asset/inventory availability, and reduce operational costs.
- The successful candidate will bring 15+ years of supply chain experience, preferably in Oil & Gas / Oil Field Services, with strong exposure to GCC markets, complex logistics environments, and engineering-driven operations.
- Candidates with a background as an Oil Field Engineer transitioning into supply chain leadership will have a strong advantage due to their understanding of field operations, equipment reliability, and project logistics.
Key focus areas:
- Strategic Supply Chain Leadership Develop and execute regional supply chain strategies supporting drilling, well services, equipment maintenance, and field operations while ensuring seamless coordination across warehouses, field bases, vendors, and project sites.
- AI-Driven Supply Chain Transformation Lead the adoption of AI-driven forecasting, predictive inventory management, and digital supply chain platforms to enhance planning, procurement, logistics visibility, and decision-making.
- Procurement & Supplier Ecosystem Management Oversee strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships across GCC, MENA, Europe, and Asia while negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with industry, safety, and ESG standards.
- Field Logistics & Asset Availability Manage logistics and supply operations for critical oilfield equipment, drilling tools, chemicals, and consumables to ensure rapid mobilization and operational continuity in field environments.
- Inventory, Warehousing & Asset Management Implement digital inventory control and predictive maintenance supply models to optimize warehouse operations, reduce holding costs, and maintain high availability of critical spare parts.
- Risk Management & Supply Chain Resilience Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to geopolitical factors, supplier dependencies, and logistics disruptions while strengthening resilience across multi-country operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, drilling operations, finance, and project management teams to ensure timely procurement, efficient project execution, and improved operational performance.
- Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop supply chain teams while fostering a data-driven culture and building capabilities in digital supply chain tools and AI-enabled decision-making.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or other streams, Supply chain management or a related field.
- Masters Degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Administration
- PreferredCertifications such as Certified International Supply Chain Professional (CISCP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferred.
- Experience 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics
- Minimum 8 years in Oil & Gas or Oil Field Services industry
- Proven experience working across GCC markets (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait)
Strong advantage for candidates who:
- Previously worked as Oil Field Engineer / Field Operations Engineer
- Managed regional supply chain operations in drilling or oilfield services companies
- ERP Knowledge & experience [Preferably SAP]
