Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership to the supply chain management team, set and accomplish KPIs, drive productivity, cost and service quality level improvement programs

Drive operational excellence across the logistics value chain, which includes inventory control, shipping, warehousing, distribution and transportation

Manage a team of buyers in organizing and executing the procurement activities with the objective to provide effective supply chain for the organization's material and operational requirements in a timely and at the most cost-efficient manner.

Liaise with the different stakeholders such as MROs, logistics partners and suppliers to resolve spare shortages and related issues. These will require working outside normal operational hours due to time difference with MROs, logistics partners and supplier.

Manage supplier base to ensure quality level, cost improvement and supply efficiency. Follow through subcon progress to ensure closely monitored TAT.

Utilize various buying techniques to evaluate market conditions and to initiate negotiations with supply base

Review daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance results to identify trends and opportunities to take corrective and continuous improvement actions eg challenging spare requirements through constructive review

Update management on performance of supply chain operations, improvement programs, new initiatives through appropriate management reports

Work closely with various sections (Finance, HR, Sales Admin, Operations) to provide operational analysis and planning support

Lead the team to perform cycle count, and resolve stock variances. In charge of annual stock take exercise and reports to HQ.

Comply with all health, safety and environment (HSE) regulations as prescribed by law and company's policies.

Actively participate and contribute to HSE initiatives & Corporate HSE programs and in HSE risk communications & mitigations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years of supply chain management experience ( with exposure to good warehouse management, freight management and inventory management practices of electronics, electro-mechanical components/spare parts would be an advantage but not mandatory)

At least 5 years of supervisory experience with hands-on exposure

Excellent organizational, people management, leadership and communication skills

Experience in negotiations of contracts and agreements with suppliers

Experience in cost modeling and analysis, operations planning and process management

Strong presentation skills and proven management ability

Strong strategic thinking combined with outstanding tactical executive skills

Self motivated, proactive and team player with high standards of performance and personal integrity

Proficient in MS Office and SAP

Knowledge of French language would be an advantage but not necessary.
