Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Operations Management Accountability
- Create, develop, and implement department policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize operations.
- Ensure alignment with other departments by executing corrective actions for smooth processes.
- Manage headcount and budget allocation for department expenses.
- Maximize resource utilization for efficient product handling from the supply chain to the end customer.
- Contribute to strategic planning and business reviews to support operational goals.
- Oversee workload planning to ensure targets are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to meet delivery timelines.
- Establish KPIs for performance metrics affecting supply chain operations.
- Enhance processes for ordering, shipping, and delivering products to meet customer needs.
- Develop strategies to reduce operating costs without compromising product quality.
Warehouse Management
- Manage main warehouse and 10 distribution centers.
- Ensure accountability for inventory through periodic reports and stock management tools.
- Improve warehouse systems by refining product handling, storage, inventory, and shipping processes.
- Analyze current inventory procedures and recommend efficiency improvements for increased profitability.
- Plan for future capacity requirements to support growth.
- Lead the implementation of warehouse processes, ensuring good storage practices and compliance with standards.
- Control warehouse operation costs to stay within budget.
- Evaluate staff performance and productivity to enhance operational efficiency.
Fleet Management
- Lead optimal fleet management practices and ensure proper documentation and utilization.
- Conduct route assessments to improve delivery times and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with traffic regulations, safety standards, and vehicle cleanliness to uphold the company image.
- Manage daily transportation operations and conduct thorough investigations to resolve issues.
- Evaluate staff performance, apply disciplinary measures, and lead training initiatives.
- Communicate with authorities to resolve transportation-related incidents.
- Ensure regular fleet maintenance to prevent breakdowns and control costs through fleet outsourcing.
- Research and implement the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years proven experience in operations of supply chain.
- Bachelor s degree in a related discipline.
- Expert level in English language is mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong skills in accessing and using analytical tools (Excel is must)
- Experience with forklifts and overhead crane or similar equipment
- Strong communication skills.
- This role also requires highly motivated person with excellent working knowledge of supply chain & logistics aspects in resolving operational critical challenges as they arise in an emergency setup.
