Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end flow of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and inventory while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and GMP standards.

  1. Plan and coordinate supply chain operations for pharmaceutical products.

  2. Manage procurement of raw materials, APIs, packaging materials, and production supplies.

  3. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to avoid shortages or overstocking.

  4. Coordinate with production, warehouse, QA/QC, procurement, and logistics teams.

  5. Track shipments, imports, exports, and customs clearance within UAE/GCC regulations.

  6. Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements.

  7. Analyze supply chain data and prepare forecasts and demand planning reports.

  8. Handle supplier coordination and performance evaluation.

  9. Improve supply chain efficiency, cost control, and delivery timelines.

  10. Support ERP system operations such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

  11. Maintain accurate documentation and batch traceability records.

  12. Coordinate cold chain logistics for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Supply Chain Management

    • Pharmacy

    • Logistics

    • Business Administration

  • 8-15 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or healthcare supply chain.

  • Knowledge of UAE pharmaceutical regulations and GMP standards.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management and demand planning.

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

  • Good analytical and communication skills.

  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.

  • Strong experience in demand planning, forecasting, and supply optimization.

  • Expertise in inventory control, stock planning, and minimizing waste/stockouts.

  • Proven ability to manage procurement operations, including monitoring and reporting OPEX and CAPEX spend for effective budget control.

  • Familiarity with GMP and regulatory compliance standards within supply chain operations.
