Supply Relationship Management Lead

Avanceon is looking for a Supply Relationship Management Lead to lead the procurement of specialized equipment and instrumentation used in, particularly wellhead control systems, safety shutdown systems, and process instrumentation.

The role demands a blend of technical Knowledge, strategic sourcing, and regional market knowledge to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement aligned with project and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Procurement Strategy

Develop and execute procurement strategies for:

• Wellhead control panels (hydraulic/electro-hydraulic)
• Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems
• Process instrumentation: pressure/temperature transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, control valves, actuators, gauges
• SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and related automation components

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and OEMs
• Build long-term relationships with vendors across UAE, GCC, Europe,
• Conduct commercial bid evaluations, supplier audits, and performance reviews.

Strategic Procurement Planning

• Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies across direct and indirect categories.
• Align procurement goals with corporate objectives, project timelines, and budget forecasts.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Supplier Relationship & Risk Management

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and OEMs.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, financial health, and compliance

Category Management

• Lead category strategies for high-impact areas such as capital equipment, instrumentation, services, and logistics.
• Benchmark pricing, contract terms, and service levels across global and regional markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specifications and sourcing requirements.

Contracting & Commercial Negotiation

• Oversee RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Draft and manage service agreements, frame contracts
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all procurement activities.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Mentor and develop procurement analysts and category managers.
• Engage with finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Represent procurement in strategic planning and executive reviews.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

• Expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier development
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), e-sourcing tools, and spend analytics
• Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and compliance frameworks
