Roles & Responsibilities
About Us
Spider Plus is a leading provider of lifting equipment rentals and sales across the UAE and KSA. We are looking for a skilled and proactive Support Engineer to strengthen our operations, ensure equipment reliability, and maintain our high standards of service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Guidance & Workshop Support
- Provide OEM-approved repair instructions to technicians.
- Ensure timely, high-quality repair and maintenance services from the workshop.
- Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure inspections follow company-approved standards.
Machine Maintenance
- Schedule and oversee routine maintenance to avoid downtime.
- Follow up on machine repairs, prepare quotations, and secure necessary approvals.
Certification Management
- Ensure all third-party certifications for fleet, operators, and technicians are always valid.
Pre-Hire & Off-Hire Processes
- Coordinate with the Hire Desk Controller on operator availability, job allocation, and equipment readiness.
- Ensure equipment undergoes proper pre-hire and post-hire inspections and notify Operations/HDC on inspection updates.
- Ensure off-hired machines are attended within 2 days and customer damage reports are issued accordingly.
- Ensure tagging system compliance across all workshop operations.
Customer & Internal Coordination
- Share approved maintenance quotations with the Sales Department and customers.
- Collect and compile inspection-related reports (pre-hire, post-hire, service reports, job sheets, breakdown logs).
- Coordinate with Accounts for customer chargeable maintenance cases.
Procurement & Supplier Handling
- Follow up with Procurement regarding spare parts and materials for workshop and equipment needs.
- Communicate with equipment suppliers for technical support when required.
Operational Improvements
- Study equipment breakdown trends and propose corrective actions.
- Develop and implement routine maintenance procedures to improve workflow efficiency.
- Update and utilize operational tools (Operations Tracker, Breakdown Logs, etc.).
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3–4 years in a similar technical or service engineering role
- Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Automotive Engineering
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- BSc in Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Skills: Strong technical understanding, communication, coordination skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
