Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Manage surface water resource projects, storm water management, hydrology studies / modelling, and water intakes
  • Manage surface water components for EIA's and mine waste management projects
  • Develop and review technical reports for clients
  • Liaison with Internal and External entities
  • Review proposal writing related to Water Resources and technical issues related to surface water projects
  • Prepare and review high quality project and design reports
  • Experience in Water Engineering projects for the roads and drainage, industrial / residential development and / or infrastructure sectors
  • Perform regular risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Performance of actual design duties as directed.

Desired Candidate Profile

BSc/BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

  • 10 years of experience in TSE systems networks modelling. Experience within the region would be required.
  • Skills required are model build calibration, optioneering and design & modelling reviews, and operational aspects.
  • Hands on experience on Info Works WS/WS Pro, ArcGIS is essential
  • Experience with EIA's
  • Strong experience in mine water management and water and salt balance modelling
  • Extensive water resources modelling; storm water modelling; flood-lines determination experience.
  • Experience in catchment and mine water modelling that relates to both water quantity and quality.
