Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

· Develop and implement sustainability strategies for construction projects in line with green building certifications (LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, etc.).

· Conduct sustainability assessments including energy modeling, water management, waste management, and life cycle analysis.

· Collaborate with design and construction teams to integrate sustainable design features.

· Monitor and report sustainability KPIs during design and construction phases.

· Prepare documentation for green building certifications and ensure compliance with sustainability goals.

· Conduct sustainability training and awareness programs for project teams and stakeholders.

· Liaise with government and regulatory authorities for approvals related to environmental clearances, building permits, fire NOC, water connection, and other statutory requirements.

· Prepare and submit documentation required by various regulatory bodies.

· Track and follow up on application statuses to ensure timely clearances.

· Ensure all projects adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and codes (environmental, municipal, fire safety, etc.).

· Maintain a tracker of approvals, licenses, and their renewal timelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

· Minimum 5years of relevant experience in sustainability and/or authority coordination in the construction or infrastructure sector.

· Experience with green building certification processes (e.g., LEED, IGBC).

· Familiarity with local building codes, environmental laws, and regulatory requirements.

· Proven experience in dealing with local authorities and government agencies.

· Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles and technologies.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with authorities and stakeholders.

· Attention to detail and ability to manage documentation.

Proactive, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
