Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As Sustainability Host, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
- Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
- Focus on the rejuvenation of the Sustainability department.
- Products and services will be constantly assessed and reviewed to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
- Focus and review regularly through my physical presence in the department, our rigorous adherence to LQA standards.
- Fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures and provides assistance to guests in all property emergency evacuation and medical procedures.
- Maintain the health of plants, vegetables, and trees by accurately identifying plant diseases as they arise and using organic fertilizers and pesticides to eliminate these diseases.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
- Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
- Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Perform any additional tasks given to me by supervisor/management.
Desired Candidate Profile
To execute the position of Sustainability Host have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results.
- I confirm that I have a bachelor s degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or closely related field. I also have the technical skills and at least two years experience in a sustainability-related role within hospitality with proven results.
- Technical skills include Advanced MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS and OPERA platforms and have knowledge on property and policies.
