Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise SVC installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure proper integration of SVC systems with substation equipment and turbine generators.
  • Conduct or oversee testing, troubleshooting, and configuration of SVC devices, converters, transformers, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ensure protection & control coordination, including relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Maintain HSE compliance during all field activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, commissioning logs, and work certifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to field engineers and technicians.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in SVC / STATCOM commissioning at MV/HV substations.
  • Familiarity with turbine integration and generator synchronization.
  • Strong understanding of substation equipment, protective relays, SCADA, and control systems.
  • Exposure to OEMs like GE, Siemens, ABB, or Merus Power.
  • Relevant experience in power projects, substations, or turbine commissioning.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skill
