Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As the SVP Logistics for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia you will be instrumental in developing and delivering the logistics commercial strategy with focus on enhancing brand offering and acquiring additional markets, industries, and group strategic customers, ensuring we deliver best in class end to end solution to our customers and clients. The role is accountable for P&L growth, customer acquisition and retention, and market expansion within KSA.
- Formulate and drive the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia logistics commercial strategy aligned to Group and Regional Logistics Priorities.
- Identify potential opportunities in KSA and align with global Strategy.
- Demonstrate ability to translate the commercial strategy into hard deliverables and commercial targets at Regional level.
- Partner existing and new customers in strategic solutions that combine all service and product offerings of the firm.
- Own and drive accountability for the achievement of the sales and profit plan targets for the KSA logistics portfolio including Freight forwarding and Contract Logistics.
- Develop a 3-to-5-year plan supported by an annual commercial trading plan for brown field and green field setups, adapting to the changing economic climate and competitor activity to deliver budget and market share expectations.
- Work closely with Product, Pricing and Customer Operations to develop standard and bespoke pricing and product strategies for customer value propositions to optimize sales and profit whilst also maintaining the customer s perception of value for money.
- Drive efficiency, standardization & alignment across the regional logistics commercial structure
- Lead the Company's service and product solutions across KSA, leveraging cross group products, services and offerings.
- Drive customer advocacy and act as guardian of the customer providing key account management, ownership of service levels and ongoing improvement of the customer value proposition.
- Set up a Key Account Management culture by implementing the right structures to deliver profitable growth on different customer segments.
- Drive and work closely with Tender and Contract Management teams to achieve positive conversions.
- Sales Management and excellence.
- Build and lead an engaged team, providing direction, coaching and promoting collaboration while ensuring they are enabled to carry out the goals and objectives of the business.
This position must have the skill and a proven track record in scoping out Logistics structure. With an in-depth knowledge of the KSA market This position will need a proven track record of decision making, strong background in strategic commercial delivery and leadership.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Master s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Finance, Economics, or any other relevant field (Master s/MBA preferred).
- 15-20 years of senior level experience commercial/sales within global logistics multi-national companies with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or country-level capacity in KSA.
- Solid understanding of Saudi and GCC markets; existing network of logistics customers and key accounts highly advantageous.
- Proven senior experience leading logistics and supply chain management
- Strong business and commercial acumen.
- Proven ability to intelligently operate and navigate a multinational, matrixed organisation
- English fluency required; Arabic strongly preferred
