Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Define, design, develop and deliver the software for ADAS application across QNX, Adaptive Autosar and Classic Autosar sub-systems
Understand complex user requirements and decompose them into functional, system, and detailed software requirements and architecture
Write work packages and detailed technical work based on the user requirements, identifying and recording technical risks and assumptions made in the software development life-cycle
Compliance with the standards and regulations such as UNECE, FUSA, ASPICE etc
Work with the HW samples to validate and deliver a working product
Work with multiple teams and suppliers for the dependency management
Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
Work in a multiple disciplinary team, to mentor junior SW engineers and to clearly communicate findings through presentations and reporting
Engage with global Chapters in contributing and adhering to Software architecture and development BoK
Agree with teams on testing scope and Quality roles and responsibilities
Integration of Open source components and licensing requirements as needed
Own system level configurations, auto-generate code from models and automate testing wherever possible
Excellent communication skills and liaise with the wider global teams within JLR
Participate in organizational growth and business strategies
Desired awareness of any specific Autosar Adaptive stack.
Able to work on CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Gitlab runner.
Skills
Must have
4+-year experience in POSIX development
Development of components using C++ programming
strong Adaptive AUTOSAR (ARA APIs, ara::com), POSIX, C++, model based interfaces (Simulink wrappers), automotive SW architecture.
Create detailed design documents
Implement POCs/functional tests
Knowledge transfer, support other team members
Creation of software specifications for suppliers and software specifications for customers.
Evaluation of internally and externally supplied software components and documentation.
Support with software integration tests.
Work experience in software development and integration.
Nice to have
Knowledge of modern automotive hardware and software architectures.
Good understanding of SoC & MCU architectures
Good understanding of system testing, QA, performance optimization and release management
Experience with automotive embedded software development, including agile development processes, continuous integration environments.
Platform software architecture design, integration and development expertise
Leading/collaborating with multiple teams
Technical thought leadership
Very good problem-solving and communication skills
Guiding/mentoring the technical team/developers
Desired Candidate Profile
4+-year experience in POSIX development
Good to have experience with NVIDIA Thor, Aurix
