Swimming Pool Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Develop detailed engineering designs and construction drawings for residential, commercial, and competitive swimming pool facilities, including pool geometry, structural elements, and surrounding decks.
Perform hydraulic calculations for pool circulation systems including pipe sizing, pump selection, balancing tank capacity, and filtration system design.
Design water treatment and disinfection systems such as chemical dosing units, UV sterilization, ozone systems, and salt chlorination to maintain water quality standards.
Coordinate with architects, landscape designers, and structural engineers to integrate swimming pool systems within overall project layouts and aesthetics.
Prepare technical specifications, bills of quantities (BOQ), and material take-offs for procurement and project costing.
Review equipment submittals from vendors (pumps, filters, lighting, and accessories) to ensure compliance with design intent and project requirements.
Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, addressing site queries and verifying system performance and turnover rates.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5+ Years of experience.
Proven experience in designing swimming pool systems including structural pool shells, hydraulic circulation, filtration, and water treatment systems.
Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, with experience in 3D modeling tools like Revit, SketchUp, or SolidWorks considered an advantage.
Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations, pump head loss analysis, and pool recirculation system design.
Knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, waterproofing systems, and pool construction methodologies.
Familiarity with international swimming pool standards and safety codes such as APSP/ANSI and EN standards.
Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously.
