Switchgear Testing Engineer

· Qualification

· Shall have a Minimum 10 years in testing & commissioning of Switchgear (as a manufacturer/ panel builder).

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

· Should be familiar with the oil & gas engineering design specifications, quality & HSE requirements.

· Experienced in interpreting and applying scope of work, vendor design documentation.

· Fully conversant with the international codes and standards such as IEC, ANSI, BS, EN, ASTM, API & ISO.

· Familiarity with ADNOC standards is preferred.

· Job responsibilities:

· All testing/commissioning activities and their monitoring.

· Ensure / prepare relevant test/commissioning plans, procedures & test sheets.

· Ensure all testing equipment are available and its calibration maintained.

· Ensure all HSE precautions are met and provide toolbox talks.

· Conducting all functional and performance tests as per approved procedures.

· Prepare all test reports as per the approved procedures.

· Maintain records and status of the testing activities.

· Liaises with clients on all testing and quality related matters.

· Trouble shooting any errors identified during the testing.

· Raise RFIs for testing in coordination with quality inspector.

· Co-ordinate with client and vendor with regards to testing issues for resolution.

· Issuing punch list and categorizing the punch & ensure closeout.

· Arrange/provide training to staff and technical support during commissioning.
