Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Server & System Management

Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.

Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.

Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to operating systems and applications.

2. Network & Security

Collaborate with network teams to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.

Implement and maintain system-level security policies and firewalls.

Monitor logs and respond to security incidents.

3. Backup & Disaster Recovery

Manage backup systems and ensure data integrity.

Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

Ensure business continuity through regular system audits.

4. User & Access Management

Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and groups.

Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.

Support onboarding/offboarding processes from a systems perspective.

5. Troubleshooting & Support

Respond to system alerts and resolve issues promptly.

Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated technical problems.

Document system configurations and procedures.

6. Automation & Optimization

Develop scripts to automate routine tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).

Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reliability.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

3+ years of experience in system administration.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms.

Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols.

Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or RHCSA are a plus.
