Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure reliable operation, monitoring, and maintenance of server, virtualization, storage, and core infrastructure systems across Data Center and Disaster Recovery environments.
Perform system administration activities including user access management, patching, backups, recovery, and system health monitoring.
Support incidents, problems, and change management activities to maintain service availability and stability.
Participate in DR/BCP activities, failover testing, and system recovery exercises.
Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve technical issues and implement approved changes.
Maintain accurate system documentation, configurations, and asset records.
Perform daily health check activities
Actively participate in infrastructure enhancement projects, including preparation of technical inputs, evaluation, and support during the tendering process. Operational
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Professional certifications in System Administration, such as Microsoft (Windows Server / Active Directory), VMware (VCP or equivalent), or Linux system administration, are preferred.
Training or awareness in IT Security, ISO 27001, and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) is an advantage.
IT Service Management training (e.g. ITIL Foundation) is desirable.
Exposure or training related to backup and recovery solutions and vulnerability management tools is preferred.
Professional Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Administrator in an enterprise IT environment.
Proven experience in administering Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), and Active Directory services.
Practical experience in backup and recovery operations, patch management, and system monitoring.
Experience supporting Data Center and Disaster Recovery environments, including participation in DR drills and restoration testing.
Hands-on experience with system security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with IT security standards.
Experience working with vendors, system integrators, and support providers for issue resolution and system maintenance.
Exposure to audit, compliance, and regulated environments (e.g. ISO 27001) is an added advantage.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and support business-critical IT services.
