System Administrator Level 2

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day IT operations across virtualized and physical server environments, with a strong focus on VMware vSphere, Veeam Backup & Replication, Windows Server administration, patch management, and ITIL-aligned incident and change management processes. Operating as a key escalation point for Level 1 support, the System Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining the health, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure. This includes proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environment, including virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
• Administer and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
• Implement and manage Veeam Backup & Replication for data protection and disaster recovery.
• Perform regular patch management and system updates.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Provide Level 2 support and escalate issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
• Participate in ITIL-aligned incident and change management processes.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
