Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work related to firefighting systems
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs for:
Fire sprinkler systems
Fire hose reel & hydrant systems
FM-200 / NOVEC / CO₂ / Clean agent systems
Fire pumps & pump roomsCoordinate with design, sales, and procurement teams to obtain technical and commercial inputs
Identify cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with NFPA, UL, FM, UAE Civil Defense requirements
Prepare technical submittals, pre-bid clarifications, and tender queries
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
Support post-tender clarifications and value engineering activities
Maintain estimation databases, cost norms, and pricing history
Assist project teams during handover with cost breakdowns and assumptions
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3–7 years of experience in estimation of firefighting / fire protection systems
Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local Civil Defense regulations, and international standards
Experience in GCC projects preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation tools/software
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
