Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Detail Design of the Flow Metering System Projects
  • Maintain the skill level of the whole engineering team.
  • Responsible for generating/reviewing documents like System Architecture, Functional Design Specification, Modbus Map, Software design basis document, software and system test procedures, and software integration document.
  • Lead the configuration and testing of the flow computer and Metering Supervisory software like S600+, FB3000, ROC series, Open Enterprise Software.
  • Lead the configuration and testing of third-party interfaces like flow meters, Gas Chromatograph, Programmable Logic Controller, Distributed Control System, and others within the Network over different communication protocols.
  • Participation in setup of the system, Pre-Factory Acceptance Test, Factory Acceptance Test, Integration Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test etc.
  • Perform and lead site services.
  • Contribute to the overall quality of the organization in the engineering space.
  • Creating standard protocols & standardizing solutions and documentation for repeat use.
  • Review Deliverables for Quality & Accuracy with Peers & Lead.
  • Work with Project Managers to maintain cost, quality & schedule as per contractual terms
  • Maintain Quality Management system for defects, rework & other indicators
  • Work with Regional Sales & proposal teams for Flow solutions during bidding process.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Strong experience in the Engineering of Flow products & Systems
  • Experience with various Flow domain applications
  • Detailed hands-on experience Metering Systems, Flow Comp programming, Design, Application programming.
  • Familiar with American Gas Association Standards, American Petroleum Institute Standards, Liquid & Gas measurements.
  • Well-versed with key customers' standards and specifications (Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, KOC, ADNOC etc.).
  • Flow Computer Configuration, Coding, Validation, and Testing.
  • Good hands-on Modbus communication and other communication topologies like DNP3, OPC.
  • Exposure to Radio and Wireless communication between Flow Computer, RTU's and Host Systems like SCADA
  • Experience on all Emerson Flow Computers and RTU's like S600+, FB 3000, FB 107, ROC, CW RTU's and Presets like DL6000 and DL8000
  • Field Instrumentation knowledge for Flow meters, pressure & temperature transmitters, control valves etc.
  • Familiarity of P&ID, Instrument index, utility & power distribution schemes, power consumption document, loop diagrams,
  • Evaluation of all Engineering deliverables such as Control Panel drawings, cable block diagrams, wiring diagrams, etc.
  • Preparation of Project Cycle Documents like Functional Design Documents, Control Narratives, Test Procedures, etc.
  • Specialized in executing revamp / retrofit projects specific to Flow metering systems.
  • Customer/vendor/Factory Liaison to fulfill documentation and inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate Tests/Inspections of all bought out/fabricated items
