Systems Engineer - L3

The L3 Systems Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day support, administration, and continuous improvement of a complex enterprise environment, acting as a key escalation point for critical incidents and driving systematic problem resolution while adhering rigorously to ITIL-based Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide L3 support for the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent service disruptions.
• Administer and maintain virtualized environments using VMware or similar technologies.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including patching, vulnerability management, and access controls.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and support new technologies and projects.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, etc.).
• Experience with networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS).
• Experience with security best practices and technologies.
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
