Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file accurate tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Analyze financial statements and records to ensure proper tax treatment and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and reports.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary tax documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring timely implementation of new requirements.
  • Identify and recommend tax-saving opportunities and strategies for the organization.
  • Maintain organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation.
  • Respond to tax authorities inquiries and resolve tax-related issues promptly.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal tax policies and procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

1-2 years of proven experience in tax accounting or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Willingness to stay updated on changes in tax laws and best practices.
