Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Role Purpose:
Maintaining the application of accounting standards and fiscal laws. Preparing tax reports, analysing tax regulations, and recommending effective tax strategies that comply with laws and promote the company s financial and fiscal well-being
Key Accountabilities
Prepare accurate tax reports, payments, necessary paperwork, namely for:
- VAT declaration preparation
- Salaries declaration review
- NSSF declaration review
- Property tax declaration preparation
- CIT declaration preparation
Manage and maintain the company s tax database, archive tax declarations, financial reports and working papers.
Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to fiscal authorities and external auditors.
Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden.
Liaise with internal and external auditors and offer support and guidance during audit and inspection missions.
Review standalone and consolidated audit reports.
Keep track of changes related to taxes.
Forecast tax predictions to senior managers.
Assist in the month closing process i.e. Damages file preparation, Fixed Asset module control, review and follow-up, Co-Packing file control, review and follow-up.
End of month data control.
Assist and consult other team members in compliance and tax issues.
Implement new procedures (to conform with the MOF requests) before handling it to other accountants
Prepare tax related manuals for future reference.
Ad-hoc reports as requested.
Qualifications
BA with emphasis in accounting.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role
Skills and Knowledge
Languages :English
Computer: Oracle- Excel- Dolphin
Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software.
In-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
