We are seeking 2 passionate and dedicated Teachers of English to join our team, delivering a rewarding and stimulating learning experience for students of diverse backgrounds. In this role, you will play a key part in promoting high-quality teaching and ensuring effective learning outcomes, while contributing to the wider cultural relations mission of the British Council.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to learner success, values innovation in teaching, and is motivated to make a meaningful impact in an international and culturally rich environment.
You will ensure that all teaching aligns with British Council Global Teaching Standards, as well as organisational expectations and learner needs, while continuously monitoring student progress and providing regular, constructive feedback to support performance and encourage learner autonomy.
You will take an active role in maintaining excellence in teaching and learning by engaging in ongoing professional development and performance management, ensuring that your practice reflects the latest developments in English Language Teaching and contributes to the organisation s reputation for quality. Working as part of a collaborative teaching team, you will attend staff meetings and contribute to the development, evaluation and improvement of courses, materials and services so they continue to meet the evolving needs of students.
Beyond the classroom, you will support the teaching centre s wider activities and plans, assisting with local marketing and promotional initiatives and helping deliver an outstanding customer experience through clear communication and effective information sharing with students. You will also complete all teaching-related administrative tasks to a high standard, consistently demonstrating professional responsibility and upholding the organisation s values in all aspects of your work.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with students and colleagues will be central to your role, alongside promoting awareness of the British Council s cultural relations mission. You will encourage learners to develop an understanding of the UK, its values and culture, and create opportunities for meaningful intercultural engagement both inside and outside the classroom.
You will also ensure full compliance with organisational policies and guidelines, particularly in relation to safeguarding, data protection, equality, diversity and inclusion, special educational needs and disability, and health and safety, maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.
