Teacher of Mathematics required for August 2026

The English College, Dubai, seeks a positive, reflective and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to work in the Mathematics Faculty and the Secondary School for August 2026. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset and high expectations of all staff and students. They will be open and willing to learn; they will be expected to engage in professional learning with the mindset that everyone can always improve. We are seeking a professional who is passionate about encouraging students to grow and develop holistically - academically, emotionally, physically and socially.

With a rich, 33 year history, we are one of the oldest schools in Dubai. Our students embark on a journey of growth and discovery, guided by dedicated staff who nurture talents, build confidence and inspire ambition. Our purpose is simple but profound: Learn. Thrive. Make a Difference. Education here is not confined to classrooms; it is curiosity, creativity, resilience, and character. We believe wellbeing comes first because when children and teachers are happy and supported, achievement naturally follows.

We are very well-resourced with great facilities. Our state of the art STEAM centre opened in August 2025 and comprises DT labs, a graphics studio, a media suite and a robotics studio. In addition to this, our Secondary Building comprises 2 drama studios, a fitness suite, specialised art and music rooms and science labs. Furthermore, our Primary building benefits from specialist facilities to deliver computing, art, science and STEAM. We have a reputation for academic excellence; we place the success of each and every student at the centre of our mission. Our students are motivated, committed and love learning. Our staff are passionate and outstanding teaching professionals, and we are committed to providing excellent and ongoing CPD opportunities. Our parents are supportive and involved in the learning, attainment and progress of their children.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly qualified and committed, with an excellent track record. Teaching roles at EC offer a fun, exciting and incredibly rewarding challenge and an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward thinking school, rated Outstanding by BSO (2022) and Very Good by DSIB (2023). The successful candidate will demonstrate a creative approach to teaching and learning with the ability to inspire and motivate students with a diverse range of talents and abilities. Candidates must also have the necessary skills and vision to have the highest of expectations for all, using data to meet the needs of all learners, offering appropriate challenge and support where necessary. A desire and willingness to teach Mathematics through to A level is essential, as is the willingness and desire to teach other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.

We hire for values and character. It is essential that all successful candidates are aligned to our core purpose, our vision and our values. We are looking for a highly committed team player with the drive, energy and passion to develop this forward-looking school. You should also illustrate a capacity to help students achieve their absolute best as part of a team, a proactive commitment to the pastoral care and well-being of our learners, and a willingness to contribute to the thriving extra-curricular life of our school. The successful candidate will need to play a significant role in the safeguarding of our students.

The English College is a family and with our fantastic students, dedicated and motivated team of excellent teachers and support staff, it truly is a wonderful place to learn and teach. The English College is part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), a growing group of committed colleagues in financially responsible schools around the world, all of which aim to be the school of choice in their local area. Learning is at the heart of everything we do for our students, colleagues and parents. We are committed to continuous improvement.

All applications must be supported by a current CV, added as a supporting document.
